🐸 THE STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING
We had a monochrome visitor in our backyard. We are living in San Diego and surrounded by nature and beautiful animals. butterflies are the common guests, hawks, and beautiful birds. Every once in a while comes a frog too. This one was sitting on the chair for the whole day and I took lots of photos of her, amazed by nature's creation.
This small grey frog was my inspiration for this painting. I wanted to create a contrast between something beautiful and dainty (the girl) and something many people consider as dirty/ disgusting (as the frog, not me of course) and paint (using only coffee ☕) a painting that would show the beauty of them all.
