VENICE UNDERWATER - What happens when you love The Italian Job, drink too much coffee, and let your imagination swim
 
I’ve never been to Venice - unless watching The Italian Job on repeat counts as travel.
 
But between the movie’s canals, gondolas, and romantic chaos, I was hooked.
 
When I painted this, I thought… what if those canals weren’t just water? What if Venice had ancient, wise guardians, keeping an eye on all the gondola gossip?
 
Naturally, in my mind, they turned out to be soulful chimps with eyes as deep and romantic as the water itself.
 
The gondolier? He’s just rowing past like this is perfectly normal. And in my Venice, it is. Because here, every bridge hides a love story, every gondola is a slow dance, and the city’s secrets are safeguarded by chimps who have seen it all.
 
Brewed entirely in coffee, “Venice Underwater” is my way of bottling the romance and mystery of a city I’ve never set foot in… but clearly have very strong opinions about.
